Migration of projects from SVN to GIT

o Analyzed the structure of the projects in Subversion system, had a proper study of the flow of the project to set the dependencies (if any), analysis of the technologies being used for the deployments to foresee the overall auto deployment process using Jenkins

o Conduct meetings and prepare a proper plan of the DevOps migration with the stakeholders and study their requirements thoroughly and plan the migration process accordingly. o Maintained more than 70 bitbucket repositories, analyzed and proposed appropriate resolutions to solve the merge conflicts of the branch.

Release Management

o Responsible for release management, communicating the release management processes and procedures throughout the project to different stake holders of the sub-project/profiles. o Due to inter-dependencies of the project developments, plan and analyze the releases and convey the sprint requirements accordingly.

o Justify the sequence and release plan to all the stake holders and finalize the releases. o Create/Update change tickets as per the releases on servicenow. o Working knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle. o Inform any job failures after the releases to the concerned team and take actions accordingly.

Configuration Management

o Analyzed the drawbacks and tedious manual interventions involved in migrating code from development environments to higher environments like test, UAT and production. o Proposed ideas and implemented the same to execute the deployment process with minimal manual interventions.

o Introduced and implemented the principle of the concept of "Tokenization" in order to have generic code stored at the version control systems and change the token values as per the target environments in which the code is to be deployed. Also created batch script and its required token values files to be used by the team.

o Agrees scope of the configuration management processes, function, the items that are to be controlled and the information that is to be recorded and developed configuration management standards, configuration management plans and procedures.

o Created and maintained databases according to the hierarchies and their encrypted passwords of the users

Version control System – GIT using Bitbucket Host server o Creating initializing of Bitbucket repository.

o Pushing and pulling of code between local and remote repositories. o Creating and managing Bitbucket branches and merging of branches. o Thorough knowledge of merge conflict resolutions. o Hands-on knowledge of using GIT using GUI and GIT bash as well. o Use of Bitbucket repository in Jenkins pipeline.

Automations Using Python

o Developed automation scripts using python language involved during the Migration of project from SVN to GIT which severely helped in reducing the manual work, time consumption and increased cost saving of the client.

o Created python scripts which were integrated with Jenkins to auto deploy Control-M and Teradata objects. These scripts are used by an entire EDW project since one and half year and have majorly contributed in maintaining fully automated CI/CD pipelines.

o Created a script to clone multiple Bitbucket repositories in a single execution. o Automated extraction of the “table compressions”, “stats” and “partition” being applied on the Teradata tables to update them in their respective Bitbucket repositories. o Automated the creation of sequential master list and duplicate check-ins of the files which is being used by Jenkins to have Teradata object execution in sequence as per the dependencies. o Reduced costs by ~€3500 each month by eliminating unnecessary

Jenkins

o Planned and designed CI/CD pipelines for projects based on their requirements. o Trouble shooting errors during the deployment builds caused by the execution of integrated python scripts. o Job rebuilds of the Jenkins executions.

o Define proper error resolutions of the over-all deployment.

Environment Creations

o Created and configured up to 9+ pre-prod environments having technologies like Teradata, UNIX, Control-M and Informatica and deployed all the objects within the bitbucket in the newly created environments. o Created DevOps users and grant proper access on Teradata database, UNIX folders and Informatica for Jenkins auto deployment process.

Team leading and Management

o Provided leadership to the team during the migration of the projects from SVN to DevOps and played a vital role in to deliver and handover the project to the stakeholders. o Provided proper knowledge transfer of the new tools and technologies being used in DevOps migration to the development and support teams like GIT, GIT Hub, Bitbucket, Jenkins, etc.
