Annexure “A”

Mine Superintendent Duties

Ensuring the Health & Safety of all employees on the mine.

Ensuring production targets are achieved, clean quality coal being fed to the plant, no contamination of product in stock area and correct stock to be loaded.

Ensuring permit to work is adhered to by all contractors.

Ensuring all operators have valid operating licenses.

Ensuring compliance to the MHSA.

Seeing that traffic management plans are being adhere to.

Manage contractor obligations.

Ensuring contractors/employees adhere to all safety rules, COPs & SOPs.

Managing all work activities of contractor 2.6.1 appointees as well as 2.9.2 appointees.

Overall management of office area, stockpile area, plant areas (ROM) pit and haul roads.

Liaise with Mine Manager for complies on long- and short-term planning.

Control staff. (Leaves, Sick Leaves & signing of timesheets)

Communicate and give instructions daily to all Supervisors and contractors.

Do daily inspections/PTOs/VFLs.

Carry out instructions e.g. blending of products, arranging samples with LAB as given trough from head office.

Ensuring proper housekeeping on the whole of Londani Mine.

Get quotes and orders for equipment regarding e.g. Traffic Management.

Oversee all old and new projects.

Oversee diesel usage.
