MANAGEMENT
·I managed a classroom of up to nine students plus two adult assistants for nine years of my teaching career. I was responsible for making sure my assistants understood my expectations for lessons and worked with students appropriately and professionally.
COMMUNICATION AND WRITING
·As a teacher, I presented lesson material and facilitated learning through communication. I have strong interpersonal skills and maintained relationships with students, parents, and coworkers.
·I wrote Education Plans for students which included describing the student in detail, which included performance plus individual student qualities and goals with appropriate objectives.
·While processing mortgage loans and working other office assignments, I was responsible for answering phones, communicating with clients, and interoffice communication with fellow employees.
CREATIVITY
·Classroom materials: As a teacher, I had to create my own supplemental materials for learning themes and lessons. I created testing materials for students taking the alternative state test as required.
·IEP writing: I created goals and objectives for each individual student based on their level and potential.
LEADERSHIP
·I helped new teachers with curriculum, technology, and modeled expectations and techniques for Paraprofessionals in my classroom. I also did advancing education/reflection for classroom practices.
·While working with mortgage loans, I was responsible for starting files and contacting clients as needed. I set up closings and answered client questions when appropriate.
