Project Details MATERNAL AND FETAL COMPLICATIONS ASSOCIATED WITH THYROID DYSFUNCTION DURING PREGNANCY”

This study was performed to assess the thyroid affecting disorders in pregnant women with

respect to their age, during different trimesters of pregnancy and thyroid relevant complications

in both fetus and mother. This study was done in the gynecology ward of Gandhi hospital

Hyderabad and Government Maternity hospitals in Warangal and Hyderabad during 6 months

from September 2018 to February 2019.

During the study period, data were collected from 350 patients .this study concludes that there is

a high prevalence of hypothyroidism majority being affected during first trimester compared to

and second and third trimester and universal screening of hypothyroidism may be desirable in

the world
