Job Functionaries

To enforce all ISO 9001 procedures applicable to the department

Responsible for monitoring stock levels with the stock controller in order to ensure items are purchased appropriately. Liaise with stock keepers on stock management activities.

Attend meetings, conferences and trade shows to learn about new industry trends and make contracts with external providers. Interview vendors and visit external providers’ plants and distribution centers to examine and learn about the products, services and prices.

Negotiate prices with vendors and external providers and forward agreements to the management for approval. Evaluate external providers based on price, quality and delivery period.

Monitor Production and other department request with the aim of placing orders. Also, maintain and review record of items bought, costs, deliveries, product performance and inventories.

Review, update and maintain purchase orders until they are closed and ensure appropriate time planning to ensure that requests are met on time.
