Optimization of cutting parameters during boring of hardened AISI 4340 steel. Description

To predict tool wear by finding cutting force, cutting temperature, displacement of tool vibration along with cutting velocity, feed, depth of cut during boring of AISI 4340 steel. Tool wear is highly complex phenomena which can lead to machine downtime and product rejects. Here an attempt has been made to optimize the cutting parameters to minimize the surface roughness, cutting force and tool wear. TRAINING DETAILS
