Promotes and incorporates the YMCA five core values into program activities. Directs and supervises program activities to meet YMCA objectives by leading all sports, fitness and recreation initiatives within the community in accordance with strategic and operating plans.

Develops and maintains collaborative relationships with community organizations, & manages a program budget of over $500,000 annually to meet fiscal objectives. Coordinates the procurement of equipment, contracts, and field/facility maintenance for camps, clinics, games and practices; monitors and inspects necessary sporting equipment, uniform inventory and award memorabilia as budget permits.

Creates teams from paid and financially assisted registrations. Organizes and conducts orientation meetings, and training/orientations for coaches. Develops and distributes team practice and game schedules through Playerspace; hires, trains and schedules sports officials and staff; develops and distributes sports rules, guidelines, curriculums and handbooks. Has an active role in the marketing and distribution of youth sports program information and schedules all program registrations.

Responsible for facilitating the development and implementation of community outreach and family youth development programs within the Greater Houston Area. Participates in program development, enhancement and a variety of outreach efforts such as supervising COVID-19 Pandemic Relief Mobile Food Distribution Sites, & managing the daily operation of Food Pantries in communities of need. Also accountable for operating Youth After School Opportunity Sites at four community housing apartments within Greater Houston.

Works collaboratively with regional department directors, board members, committees, managers, staff and partnering agencies.
