Visit.org, New York, NY December 2018 – December 2020 Corporate Impact and Business Development Manager

● Signed and worked directly with companies such as Panasonic, Colgate-Palmolive Company, GSK, Samsung Next, Entergy, Innovid and more to create, enhance, and implement Corporate Social responsibility (CSR), Diversity and Inclusion, and Employee Engagement initiatives for their global workforce to engage in social impact.

● Strategized, programmed, and executed the transition from in-person to virtual employee engagement with corporate partners to develop impactful workforce engagement ranging from the first-ever global day/week/months of service, to planning out itineraries of virtual social impact activities for a calendar year benefiting local nonprofits across the world.

● Maintained a portfolio of philanthropic corporate, foundation, and individual partnerships including Charles Schwab Foundation, Facebook, Salesforce.org, National Fitness Foundation, Snap Inc., Goldman Sachs Gives, The United Federation of Teachers etc. to create, build, and deliver exceptional Corporate Social Responsibility and employee engagement programs while serving teachers in districts across the country.

● Piloted new products for our online marketplace including the first 3x matching campaign to support teacher professional development, and leveraging new data innovations led by our Data Science team to drive impactful targeted campaigns using data taxonomy.

● Direct management of four school-based operations school leaders- Business Operations Managers (BOMs)

● Designed and executed central operational initiatives for the entire network of 20+ operational leaders (BOMs and Office Managers [OMs]) across four states including formal professional development, creation of time saving procedures for school based staff, practices and resources, as well as worked cross functionally to ensure efficiency and scalability across 12+ schools.

● Created, curated, and maintained operations central online resource- the “BOM Portal” and “OM Portal” hosted on Rocketship’s Intranet.

● Co-led and created agendas for weekly “Workout Wednesday” calls with entire national operations team- designed to align ops initiatives on a weekly bases, troubleshoot issues, surface questions and serve as a weekly touch point for school based ops staff.

● Trained and coached BOMs on how to increase their leadership capacity through visioning & strategy e.g. how to effectively manage school budgets, how to work with Principals to align on individual school needs, role playing on how to manage through influence on their campus’, and use operational resources to successfully to “buy back instructional time” for instructional staff allowing them to focus exclusively on teaching. ● Owned Rocketship’s “Policy Library,” by managing the policy process from concept through Board approval. Worked across departments to develop new policies as needed, partnered across teams on content, conducted research, strategically implemented consistency and compliance for all national Rocketship regions. Drove the process of updating all policies for use in our upcoming regions, most notably Washington, D.C. as well as assist S&S teammates to prepare for upcoming board meetings.

● Owned discreet studies, most notably “Office Manager Study” AKA “OM Study” created and executed to gain a qualitative and quantitative understanding of where inefficiencies occur in the OM role and surface opportunities for growth. Findings and recommendations for improvements were presented to our Executive Senior Leadership team, then to department leaders across Rocketship.

● Owned and evolved Rocketship’s Google-sites-based intranet, partnered with Rocketeers across roles and departments to continue to update content and build out new pages and resources for school based staff including but not limited to: Instructional PD pages, Operational hub pages, HR informational/new employee resource pages, integration of weekly message from the CEO etc.

● Created, planned, and executed organization-wide culture events including the first ever Rocketship Speaker Series, end of the year program event etc.
