EXPERIENCE

Ala Moana Hotel by Mantra, Honolulu, HI (08/19-10/20) As Asia Services Manager, in charge of all groups from Asian countries mostly from Japan, coordinating, and acting proactively with both travel agencies and organizers, and all related hotel departments including Reservation, Engineering, Housekeeping and Food & Beverage. Regardless, Group or FIT, assisting as a Japanese translator/interpreter when necessary to ensure that the requests or concerns of the guests were addressed and solved including determining compensation and communication with business source. Received “Staff of the Quarter” reward twice in 2016 and 2018. Same occupational description as previous tenure and additional duties are as followed:

Serve as a Lobby Concierge and monitor the flow of guest within the lobby. Assist all guests with any questions they may have.

During long lines at the Front Desk, be present talking with the guest to assist in anyway of speeding up their check in or pulling guests out of line who just have questions.

Serve as liaison between Room Reservation, Front Desk and Corporate Sales.

Arrange sale calls to Japanese Agencies to meet with the Agency's Operations Staff to explain the hotel's services and conduct room sites.

Assist with shift coverage of the Guest Service Manager Position. Sheraton Waikiki, Honolulu, HI (08/18-08/19)

As Japanese Guest Service Manager, coordinated with all departments within the hotel and served as translator/interpreter when necessary to ensure that the requests or concerns of Japanese guests were addressed. Received and serviced all Japanese guest complaints for the 1636 room Sheraton Waikiki Hotel.

As a Travel Agent, mainly receiving /handling reservation of the company’s best tour “ Diamond Head Sunrise Tour “ to the major Japanese agencies in Hawaii and handling more than a couple of hundreds Japanese visitors every morning as a dispatcher plus at same time, helping in-house guests of Ramada Plaza Waikiki hotel for main attractions and suggesting hints staying enjoyable on the island of Oahu.
