OBJECTIVE: Derryk Sellers is an experienced football and basketball coach and athletic director. He is professional, highly motivating, inspiring and a person of integrity. Derryk seeks the opportunity to share over 29 years of coaching experience and 18 years of experience as an athletic director with an institution that strives to provide significant opportunities for student athletes of diverse backgrounds.
EXPERIENCE
09/01-Present Lindenwold High School, Lindenwold, NJ, Athletic Director, Dean of Students, Head Football Coach
Duties include: Supervisor of Health and Physical Education 5-12; Supervisor of Nurses
K-12; Administrator to the Alternate Instruction Room; Cafeteria duty supervision; Hall
monitors supervision; Summer School Principal; As well as work very closely with the
schools resource officer to maintain safety in the building; also assigned all student
discipline 9-12. Also served as Interim Athletic Director from 12/01-3/02. Named Athletic
Director in Jan. 2003.
08/14-12/19 Timbercreek Regional High School, Sicklerville, NJ-Assistant Football Coach
Duties include: Defensive line coach responsible for linebackers; also
responsible for special teams; assist with all facets of practice and game planning;
responsible for running the scout offense (State finalist ’14-’16; State champion ’15- ‘16).
09/99-06/01 Edgewood Regional High School, Atco, NJ -Teacher, Head Football Coach
Duties included: Supervising the daily operation of the football program; supervising the
academic progress of the students; implementing and planning budgets; planning fund-raising activities and parent meetings; teaching all subjects to nine totally self-contained
special education students. 2000 NJFCA South Jersey Coach of the Year.
07/97 - 06/99 Cumberland Regional High School, Seabrook, NJ, Teacher, Head Football Coach, Head Basketball Coach
Duties included: Supervising the daily operation of the football and basketball programs;
supervising the academic progress of the students; planning fund raising activities and
parent meetings; taught Math and Science to twelve special education students.
09/92 - 06/97 Hillside High School, Hillside, NJ, Teacher, Head Football Coach, Assistant Basketball Coach
Duties included: Responsible for teaching history and English to special education
students; prepared daily and weekly lesson plans; supervised In-school suspension;
utilized behavior modification strategies to attempt to prevent repeat students;
supervised the daily activities of the football program which included community
involvement; assisted with the basketball program (State finalist ‘90-94).
08/93 - 06/94 Lafayette College, Easton, PA, Assistant Football Coach
Duties included: Defensive line coach responsible for ends; assisted on all facets of
practice and game planning; responsible for running the scout offense; assisted with
computer to break down game film and scouting of opponents. Recruiting area:

Duties included: Defensive line coach; advised ten student-athletes on academics as well
as athletics; assisted with all phases of game and practice planning; served as recruiting

GREATEST ACCOMPLISHMENTS:
Established an annual football clinic and college fair for unsigned Seniors. (2007-present)
Established mandatory study hall for student athletes at Lindenwold High School (2008-2009)
Mentored and coached several student athletes who transitioned to college level athletics at schools such as Florida International, University of Maryland, Temple University, Rutgers University, Central Michigan and Georgia Tech.
