2020- Designed COVID19 Testing project, Lay-Out, Selected Equipment, and executed the Start-Up for In-house RNA extraction, Amplification & RT-PCR testing of COVID19 swab samples, including addition of a drive-through sampling facility as per regulatory norms.

2019- On being deputed as Hospital POCT Coordinator, coordinated with team of POCT care providers from clinics & nursing department, monitoring performances by collecting data of Internal QC & periodic EQA for all POCT & aggregation of KPI

2018- Introduce POC testing of Blood Gas for more rapid and accurate test results. Organized hospital wide training of nursing staff on use of Blood Gas Analyzer, participated in internal & external proficiency testing in 2019

2018- Introduced in-house testing of Urea Breath Test for H. pylori. This proved to be very successful due to the change of rapid turnaround times. At the same time, it was more profitable than the out-sourced test in 2018

2017- Successfully introduce molecular PCR analysis in the Lab using the Cepheid GeneXpert system to manage most frequently requested PCR confirmations such as HCV, HIV, HPV, Influenza, CT/NG, HSV, Factor-V Leiden, MRSA, MTB/Rif in 2017

2017- Introduced automation in Microbiology for Identification and Sensitivity. This has improved the accuracy in bacterial identification and AMR reporting in 2017

2017- Introduced automation in Urine analysis in order to generate consistency and standardization of Urine reporting with participation in EQA.

2014- Introduced Gel Electrophoresis of Hemoglobin & Proteins using the Sebia Gel Electrophoresis platform.

2013- Introduced Al Sharq Lab to participation in EQAS for all in-house testing including blood bank, hematology, Hemostasis, Biochemistry, Immunoassays, Virology, Bacteriology & Manual Screening tests.

2013- On being designated the Hazmat Officer for the hospital, assembled a team of dedicated coordinators from all department, imparted training, and compiled a database of Chemicals with Hazard Ratings, Labelling and Storage specs.
