Purchased existing, unprofitable 16-year-old food and dairy distributor which serviced restaurants,

C Stores, chain grocery and drug stores. Turned losses into profits in less than 3 years by adding new accounts, new products and completely changing the way the original owner ran his business. Always hunting for new, unique products to offer resulted in one of the broadest lines of yogurt, toppings and paper good products in the industry – a true “One Stop Shop” to fulfill all of the store’s needs.

My main responsibility besides overall management of office staff, drivers and warehouse personnel was securing new accounts and taking care of current accounts to ensure they continued to purchase from Gold Country Distributors. In addition to sales and management, I also oversaw product purchasing, marketing and logistics.

Designed a full line, color yogurt industry catalog unlike any other the distributor.

Increased average dollars per delivery stop from $150 to $500.
