PRODUCTION OPERATIONS

• Monitoring production related tasks including planning, control and troubleshooting in CO2Compressor & Turbine Operation, High pressure synthesis section, stripping, and Medium &Low pressure section, Waste water treatment, Steam& condensate section, Vacuum and Prilling & Granulation section.

• Plant De-Bottle necking and involved in expansion projects (1850 MTD-2325 MTD).

• Erection experience like erecting new equipments, pipe lines, equipment handover to maintenance, hydro testing, card board blasting, steam blowing etc., • Issuing of safe work permits, preparing Job Safety Analysis.

• Tuning of controllers as per process requirements.

• Mass & Energy balance calculations, PID’s & PFD’s study.

• Adequacy check of existing heat exchangers, control valves, pumps, columns, compressors.

Co-ordinate with the erection team, commissioning team and process department, Shoulder the responsibilityof erection,pre- commissioning and commissioning jobs

Prepared the mechanical erection punch list & Follow-up same for timely liquidation

Flare Start Ups and Commissioning Done.

EQUIPMENTS HANDLED IN NFCL PLANT

REACTORS:

• Urea HP Reactor: A Multi layer Urea Reactor which is maintained at 160 KSC and 190 Degree centigrade temp.

• Urea Hydrolyser: Reactor of 35 kg/cm2 and 240 o C temp., to split lean urea solution. COLUMNS:

• Waste Water Distillation Column: valve tray column (55 trays) which seperates NH3, H20, CO2 from waste water section.

• NH3 Absorber:.Bubble cap column (5 trays) which separates NH3 from carbamate solution. COMPRESSORS:

• Co2 Compressor: (Multi anti surge control system developed by ITCC) Co2 centrifugal compressor of four stages,turbine driven compresses from 0.35 kg/cm2 to 160 kg/cm2

• Passivation air compressor: Air compressor for passivation air supply 4 stage reciprocating compressor discharges air from atm pressure to 160 kg/cm2. TURBINES & PUMPS:

• Condensing Impulse Turbine with Simple Auto Extraction type turbine: (9.5MW, 115Ksc, 5100C) with Woodward governing system.

• NH3 Pumps: 5 plunger reciprocating pumps driven by variable speed motor and motor with torque converter at 240Ksc. (In NFCL)

• Multistage Centrifugal Pumps: 8 stages NH3 feed pump intermediate with auto recirculation facility. And many pumps centrifugal, reciprocating type.

• Atomization Air Blower and Fluidization Air Fan: Design Capacity of 111,828 Kg/hr and 655,035

Kg/hr.

VACCUUM SEPARATORS & OTHER MAIN EQUIPMENTS:

• Adequate exposure and knowledge of other unit operations and unit processes like Heaters, Coolers,, Surface Condensers, Reboilers, Two phase separators, Let down vessels, Flash/knock out drums, Safety Relief systems, Flare system, Cooling Towers etc. OTHER IMPORTANT EQUIPMENTS:

Distributed Control System:

• Familiar with Yokogowa Centum VP and also familiar with ADVANT AC-460 DCS system supplied by ABB. AC-460 is the latest DCS sytem with communication through a high speed ring called Distributed Control Network.

• Programmable Logic Controller:

Familiar with PLC supplied by HIMA automation systems and programmed with HIMA ELOP system software pakage.

• Antisurge Control System of high pressure compressors: Series 3+ antisurge controller

Series 3+ performance controller developed by CCC. Triconex Steam Turbine/Compressor Control System by MHI(Type: TS 3000)

• Control loops:

Familiar with about 150 closed loop controllers which includes Feed forward, feed backward, multiloop cascade controllers, split range, control systems. MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS EXPOSED:
