Responsibilities :

Prepare Concept drawings for client approval and verify approved concepts/drawings by comparing it to project contract documents, tender drawings and specifications. Verify the structural integrity of the structure as well.

Formfinding (using Technet Easy 10.1 FormEdit) - Evaluate the geometry of a stressed surface by specifying support coordinates, boundary conditions, point fixities and fabric membrane stresses to generate the desire shape or form. It is also important to evaluate membrane contour and slope against water ponding before proceeding to structural analysis and design.

Statistical analysis (using Technet Easy 10.1 Statical Analysis) - materialize the surfaces created by the Formfinding process by assigning material properties to the membrane, to consider the external causes resulting from the effects of self-weight, wind and snow (if applicable) loads and to calculate the membrane stresses, cable forces and deformations: thus the stability of the overall structure can be verified.

Calculation & application of loads to the membrane surfaces, dividing the surfaces into zones to distribute appropriate wind pressures.

Beam Analysis (using Technet Easy 10.1 Beam Editor / Easy Beam) - Supporting steel frames and cables structural analysis and design - combined calculation of steel and cables supporting structures together with prestressed membrane surfaces. Exporting the model to Dlubal RSTAB 8 to analyze and design structural cross-sections for economically proportion steel and cables.

Patterning (using Technet Easy 10.1 / Easy Cut) - flattens the surface, splits it into panels and add seam allowances, panel numbers, node numbers, markings and offsets for welding and compensation to take into account the membrane prestress.

Design of foundations, steel connections as per American & British codes & doing Structural Analysis and Design Reports.

Design calculation pertaining to the change will be revised as per the new input, superceding the earlier calculation and the relevant design drawings.

On getting the approval for revised design, the details will be passed on to the detailing team to produce necessary fabrication drawings. These fabrication drawings may be for additional new members and / or as revision to already released drawings.

Based on the quantum of work, as deemed for such changes, variation claim shall be submitted on man hour basis.
