Project Description

RMD (Residual Market Division) deals with involuntary worker’s compensation policies. Constitutes of AMDMI (Alternate Market Division) and Pool reporting.

AMD-MI is a Management Information system to provide various data feeds and reports to RMD’s Financial, Compliance, Actuarial and Pool Settlement business groups, external Travelers' clients and state agencies. The entire application is written in FOCUS language.

Role & Contribution

As a SME, currently working as a technical and Application lead from onsite managing the team to provide the defect free deliverables within timeframe.

Involved in all PDLC Activities from Estimation till implementation and monitoring.

Estimating and Resource allocation is handled properly to see all deliverables are in time without any fall back.

Prepared detail test plan and test cases by understanding business logics and user agreements. Also check the test results are delivered with high quality.

Providing quick solutions for RMD Business and clients. Maintaining good Rapport with them.

Guided the team with proper Knowledge transfer and guiding them to improve in both technical and personal skills.

Project Description

Property Management is a system developed to gather all the property data in one place. It also supports risk management area to do catastrophe protection balancing and possible losses against what is reinsured. It has a DB2 database that is refreshed every month. This database contains most of the Commercial accounts written at a location level. Data is gathered from different lines of business (like HOP, Agri, Omni, MPAC, and Upbeat)and reports are given to downstream areas such as Actuarial, Risk Management, Florida Hurricane fund.

Role & Contribution

As a Project Lead leading the team of 10 members from offshore, SME and application lead from offshore, participated in all activities of the team with great enthusiasm and contributing many technical and nontechnical ideas for the improvement the project.

Enhance the application according to business customer needs.

Involved in all PDLC activities such as Analysis, Design, Coding, Testing and Implementation.

Directly involved in communicating with the clients.

Involved in DB2 program changes.

Residual Market Division mainly deals with Involuntary Worker’s Compensation Insurance for the employees. We deal mainly with report generation which drives the business customer in taking vital decisions. Project is a SAS-70 certified project.

Actuarial applications collects policy exposure and premium information required by the downstream applications for rate revision and Catastrophic modeling and forecast

Financial applications collects loss and premium information from upstream feeds to downstream including CMI warehouse for profitability and rate analysis.
