RESPONSIBILITIES

Promote bronchial toilette therapy and administer aerosolized medication through aerosol therapy and intermittent positive pressure breathing.

Responsible in the performance of arterial blood gas puncture

Provides pulmonary drainage through chest physiotherapy, autogenic therapy and sputum induction.

Administer oxygen therapy via nasal cannula and catheter, oxygen face mask,partial and non-rebreather mask.

Assembles, hooks, troubleshoots, and manage patients on mechanical ventilator

Monitor and adjust mechanical ventilator settings appropriately to assure proper function and certain therapeutic effectiveness

Facilitates weaning procedure and monitor patient’s response to the procedure.

Provide lung expansion therapy through incentive spirometry and intermittent positive pressure breathing.

Spot check of patients oxygenation by pulse oximeter

Measure peak expiratory flow rate

Assist in Pulmonary Function Test

Disinfect, prepare, calibrate and operate mechanical ventilator

Orients in the proper execution of pulmonary diagnosis and therapeutic procedure through proper and clear instruction

Perform other duty that may be assigned from time to time
