> ANALYSIS OF BASE-COURSE LAYER BY USING CEMENT TREATED BASE

DESCRIPTION:

In CTB mix design we use the cement of 3%,4%,5%,6% are added by using

trail and error method. With the increasing the cement content rapid

increase in the mix strength simultaneously. We have to prepare the

cement mix cubes at respective proportions and check the compressive

strength at 7 days curing. In my project the compressive strength is

achieved at 5% of cement. The CTB layer helps to improve the strength

of base course and distribute the loads uniformly to lower layers. The

main theme of this project is to reduce the crust thickness and cost

of the project.
