Strengths Comprehensive Research/Development, from Inception to Publication, particularly with Intricate Concepts/Custom Devices.

Aircraft and General Engineering Analysis/System Development.

Experimental Design/Configuration/Refinement/Data Collection/Analysis, particularly with active Optical Devices, including

Design and Construction of Custom Mechanical and Electronic Components for Control Systems and General Operation.

Versatile Programmer, including Rigorous Documentation, Reverse Engineering, and Development of Artificially Intelligent Functionality.

Easy Assimilation of New Technologies/Fields.

Equipment/Facility/Lab Research/Planning/Reconfiguration/Acquisition/Inventory/Maintenance/Calibration/Compliance.

Geometrical Analysis/Presentation/Configuration of various Test Ranges.

Technical Writing/Editing.

Active Secret Security Clearance.

Experience

2017-2019 US Falcon (Tankers KC-46 System Program Office, AFLCMC/WKE, WPAFB):

Senior Aerospace-Systems-Integration Engineer.

Comprehensively conceive, coordinate, and review engineering changes to aircraft (including universal identifier markings, management compliance, overall plans), and in the process, lead and develop consensus with various teams. Technically edit proposal and engineering documents to correct system problems and bring new functionality to airframes.

2014-2017 PE Systems, Inc./TetraTech AMT (Fighters/Bombers B-52 System Program Office, AFLCMC/WWBE, WPAFB):

Senior Aerospace-Systems-Integration Engineer.

Same function as above position, including exhaustive engineering-document writing/editing/support with System Software/Safety/Test/Specification Plans, but here as related to issues such as radar, mission execution/communication, and armament systems, as well as safety of flight/airworthiness (partly per MIL-HBK-516B/C) and overall airframe performance/functionality.

2000-2012 OptiMetrics, Inc. (LADAR Technology Branch, AFRL/RYMM, WPAFB):

Electro-Optical Engineering Physicist.

Developed designs for new electro-optical devices, verified their proper fabrication and developed/performed experiments to verify their proper operation. This included overhaul and from-zero development of programs in various languages (MatLAB/LabVIEW/Visual-C),

as well as mechanical- and electronic-control systems. Exhaustively commented my programs, as well as those of my colleagues, and

authored many instructional manuals for their use, in addition to those for countless mechanical and electronic systems. Whenever useful, I developed artificially intelligent functionality for these programs. Conceived, designed, constructed, repaired, and maintained custom facility and mechanical components and systems to accomplish experimental tasks, as well as to facilitate easy and ergonomic use of laboratory space and research tools by staff. Also designed and constructed custom electronic components and boards for control and other systems as necessary for experimental projects. Developed optical-targeting demonstrations with these devices to show potential applications in future weapons systems. Developed geographic-mapping measurement and display protocols, and performed all necessary measurements on test-range fields. In the process, I developed an innovative Excel program for converting GPS coordinates to various angles and Cartesian distances. Performed tool/equipment inventories, performed all equipment maintenance/calibration, and authored/gained approval for all safety plans/procedures for my research group. Published the results of various work in several conference proceedings and AFRL technical reports, performing all the associated technical editing.

1999-2000NDE Branch, AFRL/ML, WPAFB:

Visiting Scientist for Research into NDE-Modeling Methods.

1995-1999Veridian (formerly Systems Research Laboratories, Inc.):

Non-Destructive-Testing-and-Evaluation (NDTE) Engineering Physicist.

Developed and implemented robotic engine-crack-inspection programs/algorithms. Also designed stress-crack probes for this purpose. Developed software protocols for better documentation of programs across company.

1993-1995 Electra-Form, Inc.:

Special-Projects Engineer.

Developed custom AutoCAD programs to optimize design efficiency of over thirty engineers, including innovative, artificially intelligent features to anticipate user-interface challenges. Completely converted bottle- and tooling-design procedure from manual to automatic, by way of programs that I developed, saving countless manual-design hours.

1984-1989 Wright State University:

Independent Senior Project on computer-generated holography;

Physics Department Teaching Assistant.

Education

1992 Ohio University:

M.S. Physics;

completed coursework for Ph.D.

1989 Wright State University:

B.S.E. Engineering Physics, Magna Cum Laude;

B.S. Physics, Magna Cum Laude.

Honors

2009 Laser-Radar Branch, AFRL/RYMM, WPAFB:

Team Award for Experimental Innovations.

1989 Wright State University Outstanding Senior in Engineering Physics Award.

1984 Xenia High School: Valedictorian, Ohio Board of Regents Scholarship.

Wright State University: Honors Scholarship, Trustees’ Scholarship.
