Experience:

Admissions Ambassador at Gettysburg College in Gettysburg, PA September 2018-May 2020

Escorted prospective students to their class and engaged them in an open discussion about the college in a one-on-one setting.

Caretaker for a woman with Down Syndrome in Bethesda, MD July 2018

Exercised with the woman daily and provided encouragement, cooked lunch, managed negative behaviors such as stealing and flirting inappropriately with men, bathed her, and applied ointment on her infected skin.

English Tutor at Temple University, Japan Campus in Tokyo, Japan January 2018-April 2018

Empowered undergraduate students by teaching them new reading comprehension skills, and by providing them with prompts that improved their papers.

Intern for Jumpstart in Washington, D.C. June 2017-August 2017

Read to children, created and taught lesson plans, and helped supervise a class of 16 children ages three to four. Worked with Jumpstart, a part of AmeriCorps, to improve children’s literacy and social skills.

Team Member for a mission trip to Jordan July 2016

Provided food for Syrian refugees in Jordan and comforted their children, who suffered from trauma.
