I have many years experience within a manufacturing facility and an office environment. I’ve been a purchasing manager along with many other responsibilities within manufacturing. I've coordinated and overseen many clerical duties such as answering multi line phones, filing, faxing, emailing, typing quotes, billing, payroll, AP/AR and many other daily office functions. I’ve worked as an office manager, as a sales associates, dispatcher/freight broker and I’ve been responsible for scheduling service calls for several service techs on a daily basis for IT services and HVAC services.

After the contract with Olsten was complete MMI asked me to come on as the Office Secretary full time. I worked under the company’s 2 Owners, 5 Superintendents, an Office Manager and more than 100 Laborers. As the office secretary, I operated multi-line phones, typed quotes, faxed, scheduled appointments, and was in charge of MSHA Certification testing for all of our laborers. I’m very comfortable working on time crucial assignments and deadlines with very little supervision.
Carolina Transportation, Inc. Florence, SC (2005-2006) Admin Asst/Freight Broker- I previously worked for the owner of this freight brokerage when he owned D&H Transportation & Express. I was currently managing our family business, Carolina Electric, listed below when the owner of this brokerage asked me to come back and help him get his office organized & working efficentlly. I stayed for a year while I was still managing Carolina Electric. As the admin assistant I answered all phone calls, customer service, typed up freight quotes, faxed/emailed contracts, invoiced and handled AP/AR. As a freight broker I used software such as DAT, Internet Truckstop and other transportation/brokerage programs. I established new customers and worked with existing customers on a daily basis. We moved truckload/LTL freight which I quoted, made the deal, dispatched the driver and completed all paperwork for each load of freight.

(residential & commercial) for several service techs. I used both QuickBooks and Peachtree to invoice customers, manage payroll, and to keep up with AP/AR. I used Excel, Word, and many other computer programs to complete all of the daily office operations.
D&H Transportation/D&H Express, Inc., Florence, SC Office Manager, Dispatcher, Freight Broker and Sales (1999-2003) I performed daily office and logistical functions for both of these companies. I managed all of our company drivers and owner operators. Scheduled all freight pickups/deliveries, dispatched drivers, and brokered freight. I spent some days out of the office on sales calls to establish new customers and to check on the needs of our existing customers. I handled payroll for all of our drivers, invoiced customers, paid vendors and kept up with all of the AP/AR for both companies.
