Client : Telstra, Australia

Role : Service Delivery Specialist.

CONTRIBUTION

I have been responsible for to deliver 24/7 remote support Services for Telecom company. This production support project deals with Telstra downstream business spread across 21 countries.

Primary responsibilities are meeting Service Level Agreements (SLA), capacity planning, proactive maintenance, technical consultancy, vendor coordination, discretionary project works delivery, administering and various change requests as part of the project

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Performing software upgrades on operating systems.

Performing various tasks on Veritas products: Volume Manager, File System.

Assign user access to servers, applications and maintain accounts.

Interface with customers, vendors, and internal staff.

Install Patches/Packages.

Configuring LVM & Solaris Volume Manager.

Installation of Veritas Volume Manager in sun server environment

software, administration of user accounts, system configuration, troubleshooting, system monitoring, system tuning, security updates, hardware maintenance, disk usage maintenance, etc.

Maintaining patches and software’s to keep the servers up to date with latest OS versions

Logical Volume Manager (LVM), Creating Volume Groups, Logical volumes, extending the file systems.

Configuring the bonding on production servers.

Troubleshooting the booting issues and fixing it

Replacement of H/W (Motherboard, Memory, Media-Drives, NIC Cards, HBA) by coordinating with onsite team/vendor on different hardware’s.

Working on PBI which is triggered from sev1 /sev2 and providing the RCA

Attending weekly call with SDM to discuss the ongoing issues.

Working on veritas cluster and volume manager on Linux servers.
