My name is Pretty Matshete, a Bachelor’s Degree student in Public Management and Governance at University of Johannesburg, I have two qualifications in the same Public Management and Government Faculty, which are NQF LEVEL 5 Municipal Governance and Management of which I completed in 2017 and NQF LEVEL 6 Advance Certificate in Municipal Governance and Management of which I completed in 2018 at University of Johannesburg. 2020 was my final year of my degree, awaiting graduation in 2021.

In my NQF LEVEL 6 Municipal Governance and Management Qualification I completed modules such as Local Government Policy and Strategy Development, Local Government Ethics and Good Governance, Local Governance Organizational Design and Development, Research and Report Writing for Local Government, Strategic Budgeting for Local Government, Strategic Municipal Leadership.

In my NQF LEVEL 5 Municipal Governance ands Management Qualification I completed Modules such as Integrated Development Plan (IDP) for Government, Local Economic Development (LED), Financial Management and Budgeting for Local Government, Policy Making and Analysis, Project Management and Performance Management for Local Government, Human Resource Management, Regulatory in addition, Institute Framework for Local Government.

I was volunteering in the community engagement at the University of Johannesburg. Every opportunity I get I use it to create a better South Africa for all. I believe anything is possible. I see opportunity when others see impossibility. An opportunity like this will assist me in starting my career as a public server, it will assist in nourishing my knowledge and experience in government or any organisation.

My qualifications in Governance are a true resemblance and true definition of myself, I live to serve in my country and in government and other organisations, there is no other work for me than this and I know and believe that I am the best candidate for this position because of my dedication, love, hard work and passion for our government and citizens. I am a strong young woman who is born phlegmatic, given this opportunity, I am ready to bring a change into your organisation.
