• Redesigned and rewrote the first-year experience curriculum from the ground up, which resulted in a new 2-credit, 9-week course called Thrive, to provide a comprehensive and scaffolded experience for first-year students which launched in Fall 2019. Redesigned the entire program into an all online format for the Fall of 2020.

• Implemented a brand new leadership training program for all student mentors in the Fall of 2019 that incorporates leadership competencies and personal development to meet the needs of the mentors in their expanded roles in the larger, more comprehensive academic Thrive program.

• Implemented creative design and marketing strategies for faculty and student mentor recruitment, including yearly campus-wide campaigns to create interest in the Thrive program.

• Designed and supervised the transfer orientation 1-credit course and the faculty who teach the courses, as well as train and guide transfer student mentors in both spring and fall semesters. This program serves traditional undergraduate transfer students as well as the Adult Studies students, encompassing diverse populations of age, ethnicity, and collegiate experience.

• Collaborated closely with Academic Affairs and Student Affairs in writing general education curriculum, assist departments in planning and executing programs for first-year students, and help design and facilitate the Blueprints program with Admissions for new student summer orientation and registration.

• Implemented, in the Fall of 2019, a new First-Generation Celebration on Trinity’s campus, following national guidelines from the Center for First-Generation Student Success (NASPA) in collaboration with the Office of Multi-Cultural Engagement, to bring awareness and resources to a previously underserved group of students.
