Duties:
Scrub cases such as cesarean section, tubal ligation, hysterectomy, dilatation and curettage, cystoscopy on occasion and repair of cystectomy. Set up labor room for vaginal delivery. Assist in vaginal delivery by getting the doctor and nurses what they need. Assist patient with positioning breathing and pushing techniques. Clean up after delivery and after counts are correct. Remove delivery cart and trash from the labor room. Transferring of patients in wheelchair or stretcher. Stocking of labor rooms, operating rooms, PACU, PDC and triage.

Professional Summary
I have been a successful Surgical Technologist for over twenty-two years. Throughout this time I have ventured out to centers with prn positions to gain experience in other fields. I have not only learned a lot in other centers but l have learned so much in Labor and Delivery. I have been fortunate to have had the opportunity to have learned a variety of skills that have made me a better, wiser and stronger tech. I have gained most of my experience in Labor and Delivery which has given me the opportunity to precept and share my learnings with other nurses and techs.
