I hold a degree in International Studies from the University of Oregon with a focus in Law, Diplomacy, and International Relations. To finish my undergraduate degree, I completed a semester long marketing internship at an Ecolodge in Panama. This was a fun and challenging experience for me as it was primarily self driven. I was tasked with designing sustainability projects alongside indigenous groups which were partially employed by the resort such as: organic farming projects, building sensitive spa features around natural hot springs, and collecting samples of chemical fertilizers from local rivers and displaying the data with the aim of lobbying local governments and news organizations to put an end to illegal farming practices toward creating a better livelihood of the community.

One of my strengths is communication with people from different cultures and backgrounds. I build rapport by being interested in many countries and cultures throughout the world. I have also worked as an English teacher in Taiwan so I can speak Chinese as well as Spanish. During my time as an English teacher, I planned field trips, scheduled activities and entertained the students throughout the day. In addition, I also tutored students one on one, chaperoned field trips, and implemented English learning activities through the use of theater, storytelling, and games. Consequently, I developed a strong sense of patience and a keen awareness of how to interact engagingly with people, two skills that are relevant to your position.
