NBSSI as the ASSISTANT INTERNAL AUDITOR
I am currently working with the National Board for Small Scale Industries (NBSSI-A government of Ghana institution that is mainly into providing training and funding to medium and small scale organizations)
Duties:
1.-Conducting end of year audit on
TRAQUE-Trade Related Assistance and Quality Enabling)-A European Union funded project that is implemented by the ministry of Trade and Industries which NBSSI falls under. This deals with assistance to small enterprises in terms of providing training on quality and safety products.
EDAIF Ghana-Export Development and Agricultural Investment Fund-Government of Ghana Project. Providing funds and training to small and medium enterprises.
- Confirming the qualification of loan applicants - Performing age analysis
- Confirming the amount due.
- Assessing the effectiveness of the payment policy.
2.-Confirming financial statements figures through:
Taking stock
Reconciling bank statements (both local and foreign currency accounts) with cashbook and ledger balances.
Reviewing payment vouchers to confirm the completeness of transaction process.
3.-Certifying payment vouchers by making sure that the required procurement process is followed, on daily basis.
4.-Reviewing staff appreciation and long service awards.
5.-Conducting regional audit by travelling to some selected Business Advisory Centers in the country.

2010– Ghana Audit Service
(a)I worked with Ghana Audit Service under National Youth Employment Programme (NYEP) as an Audit Officer in Tema.
Duties:
1.-Annual stock taking.
2.-Carrying out annual audit with team members:
-verifying financial statements figures from cashbooks, vouchers.
-recording minutes of entrance conference.
2009-2010-Ghana Commercial Bank (GCB), Koforidua
I worked with Ghana Commercial Bank, Koforidua branch as an ATM custodian for one year on contract basis.
As part of my duties I worked on the following:
1.-making sure the ATM is effective always
2.- taking and working on ATM complains
3. - opening of accounts for GCB customers
4. - checking account balances, and receiving cheques
5. - attend to customer’s enquiries and educate customers on the banks products.
