• Execution of truck network on dedicated chassis from port/rail locations across USA for each container.

• Delivered savings on ocean rates in excess of $8m per annum on total spend of $80m.

• Improved service levels, partnerships and transit times from core carriers, speeding time to market while enhancing visibility and reliability.

• Opened Foreign-Trade Zone in Dallas in 2009; over 400 bills of lading entered per month, brought ISF process and over 75% of customs entries in-house, achieving total customs savings in excess of $1.3m p.a.

Director Transportation – Abercrombie & Fitch, Columbus, OH (Fashion Retail) – (09/2005 – 10/2006)

• Direct international and domestic freight movement via contracts, 3PL’s, Small Parcel and Freight Forwarders.

• Freight spend in excess of $50m from 30+ ports, in excess of 14m kilograms airfreight, 2,000 containers and 2,500 domestic truck moves; seven direct reports in support of this function.

• Annualized savings in excess of $3m first year on international freight spend through rate and routing changes.

• Improved internal visibility, shortened origin lead times and improved shipping forecasts, leading to improved space planning on carriers and reduced overall transit time. Accordingly, was able to transition 5% of international volume from air to ocean freight; projected annual savings of $2m in fiscal year 2007. Director International Logistics & Customs – Remy Inc., Indianapolis, IN (Auto OEM) – (01/2002- 09/2005)

• Direct global logistics between Remy Inc and Remy International’s plants and suppliers in Korea, Mexico, India, Poland, Hungary, Belgium, Brazil and Japan. Generated annual savings in excess of $750k on $7m annual international freight spend.

• Implemented and directed company's various customs programs (C-TPAT, ACE, drawback, NAFTA, GSP, etc.).

• Design and management of NAFTA refund and US Customs Drawback programs, totaling over $2 million in annual refunds and led successful US Customs drawback audit.

• Brought Drawback function in-house, saving company additional $250k per annum in service fees. Remy Inc. is in the top 40 drawback claimants in the USA. Supply Chain Manager – Hurco Cos., Inc., Indianapolis, IN (CNC machining centers) – (01/2000- 01/2002)

• Reporting to CFO, responsible for corporate supply chain, including material management, logistics, and inventory control for machine manufacturing process and sales in Taiwan, England, Germany, France, Poland, The Netherlands and Italy. Managed European Distribution Center for machine tools in The Netherlands.

● Total European distribution savings over $120,000.

● Negotiated with Dutch Customs a preferential valuation ruling, saving $140k+ in duties annually. Business Development Manager, CEE – Cargoline GmbH (now DHL), Vienna (1999-2000)

● Reporting to Owner/President, responsible for coordinating opening of new forwarding and warehouse/ distribution operations in Kiev and Moscow while managing European customers shipping. General / Country Manager – Cargoline (Freight Forwarder), Warsaw, Poland (1994 – 1998)

• As Warsaw Country Manager, managed and grew operations from single office with four employees to 75 staff over three locations. Reporting to President/Owner, this company was the regional partner of AEI
