Personal Objectives:

Am seeking for a challenging position of ‘HOSTESS’ in any facility that has F&B service as an aspect in the hospitality industry. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES.

TRAINING,HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT AND GUEST RESPONSIBILITIES

To attend all training sessions when nominated.

To maintain and keep good time and attendance.

To be aware of all health and safety issues.

To be aware of all hygiene.

To ensure that I have a very good knowledge of the service menu and the wine list so that I can be able to advice the guests.

MAIN DUTIES

Take bookings for the Restaurant, via telephone, fax, emails and deal promptly with all inquiries relating to the Restaurant, turning enquiries into booking and handling guests orders.

Keep up to date and accurate all enquiries relating bookings and put them in the systems and follow up any guest’s requirements and pass it on to the right person.

Maintain the data of the systems up to date and does the monthly.

Liaise with the restaurant management regarding special offers and ensure the offers are advertise accordingly on website.

Utilise the systems to its full potential, maximise bookings, create a database of all regular patrons of the restaurant, building a detailed record of

• Maintaining cleanliness at work and service pantry for smooth operation.

• Replenishing supply of linen and other Operating equipment.

• Keeping general appearance and maintenance of hotel working areas.

• Prepare silver wares, set up and preparing food dining areas for the next shift.

• Take notes of food orders from customers for food and beverages.

• Monitoring the guests, waiting list and ensuring that they all meet their needs.

• Responsible for answering to all the incoming calls in the hotel and attend to them accordingly.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

FINANCIAL AND REVENUE RESPONSIBILITIES.

To ensure that correct charges have been posted to the correct room numbers when using micros.

To help the room service team in maximizing the revenue by up selling.

To ensure the all mini bar changes have been done on the same day.

To conduct/participate in the department monthly stock take.

To ensure that I have a sufficient stock of food and beverage items(dry good and cellars) at all times.

MAIN DUTIES.

• Providing outstanding service by building a good report with guests.

• Welcoming, greeting guests with a smile always and escort them to their preferred tables.

• Establishing eye contact when speaking with guests while smiling.

• Helping whenever possible to guests and my workmates.

• Practicing the order of service with guests such as:-

• Approaching the tables within 1 minute and greet the guests in a pleasant and professional manner.

• Making eye contact with guests and let them know with subtlety that you 'll be with them momentarily

• Returning to the stations and place the order in the POS, pick up the water from the pass and service within 2 minutes.

• If table is ready, take the food orders and also check if guests would like to order any beverages, repeat the full order back to the guests, gather the menus to the station.

• Providing excellent customer service, offer menu recommendations upon request, up sell additional products when appropriate, delivering the cheques and collecting bill payments.

• Inputting the orders into the micros.

UACE .(UGANDA ADVANCED CERTIFICATE OF HIGHER EDUCATION). TRAINING AND SEMINARS ATTENDED:

- Hospitality. (Uganda)

- Food Hygiene level 1
