The bulk of my time was spent editing, proofreading, copy editing, organizing, and archiving the research papers and grant proposals that were written by the investigators at the school. In 2009, I implemented a new interactive-editing program that allowed MBRS-RISE doctoral students to participate in one-on-one editing sessions aimed at improving English writing skills. In 2014, I was tasked with ensuring that all the publications associated with the institution were compliant with current NIH open-access policies. From 2016 to 2017, the president of the school, Dr. David Lenihan, took advantage of my abilities as a writer.

I directed operations for the advertising division of Teleponce Cable TV/TPC Cable TV, Inc., in Ponce, PR. My duties included client relations, proposal writing, video/magazine/digital advertising production, office and staff management, equipment purchase, new media development, sales strategizing, and more. Among my accomplishments are the following: I was the director of the 1st ever Muscular Dystrophy Telethon of Ponce. I was responsible for implementing the cable system’s CNN Headline News Local Edition (called Noticable TPC), I created the local digital advertising channel (EZ-Ads), I co-designed the company website (www.tpccablemedia.com, now defunct), and I digitized the advertising insertion system. In addition, during my tenure, ad sales went from just over $40,000 per year (gross) to $800,000 per year (gross).
