2016 – Present: Coram/CVS Health – Sterile Compounding Pharmacy Technician – Home Health Infusion – Henderson, NV
My daily duties include compounding specialized and complex therapies within the clean room environment, utilizing my clinical and IV/TPN knowledge alongside the pharmacist to provide specialty infusion services that will be delivered/administered to patients in their homes. I assist in maintaining the pharmacy clean room suite to 797 requirement - documentation of IV admixture and clean room suite sterility testing - complete order entry and refills under the supervision of the pharmacist - Inventory management and storage, complete appropriate documentation, such as labels, log sheets and reports -Participate in on call rotation as indicated by staffing and business needs.
2008-2013 – Avella Specialty Pharmacy (formerly The Apothecary Shops) – Compounding Pharmacy Technician – Las Vegas, NV
During my employment with Avella, I was responsible for formulating various forms of compounded medications under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist and following USP guidelines. I am also responsible for managing inventory of supplies and chemicals and maintaining a clean and highly organized lab.
2005-2008: Walgreens – Assistant Store Manager/Senior Pharmacy Technician – Las Vegas/Pahrump, NV
While employed with Walgreens, my daily responsibilities included opening or closing the store, management of store operations and employees’, maintaining the store safe and working fund, including armored car delivery and pick up, and receiving of merchandise from warehouse and outside suppliers/vendors. I processed refunds for customers and assisted in maintaining inventory and availability of product to the public. Because of my promotion from the pharmacy department to management, I occasionally was needed to help the staff in processing/dispensing prescriptions to patients.

During my employment, I was responsible for the filling of weekly and monthly pre-packaged containers for nursing homes (weekly trays and weekly/monthly blister packs). I am also fully trained on the Automed 520 machine that pre-packs weekly or monthly packets of medication. Duties also included inventory control, ordering medication, processing and filling of prescriptions, on-line and manual insurance billing.
1996-2002: Leiter’s Pharmacy – Compounding Pharmacy Technician – San Jose, CA
As a Compounding Pharmacy Technician, my primary tasks were to formulate specific medication according tro a physician’s orders and to each patient’s individual needs, such as lactose intolerance, diabetes, severe drug allergies, etc. I also aided in proviing customer service, prescription processing, claims processing, inventory control, and day to day interaction between patient, physician, and pharmacist. On occasion, I may have needed to assist in other areas of the store.

Responsibilities include high level of customer relations, perforing all duties necessary and allowable, by las, in the preparation, distribution and filling of prescription. Duties also include accounting and bookkeeping of all items purchased by the pharmacy, accounts receivable of patient charge accounts, and monthly balancing of those accounts. As a checker in the front of the store, I had to learn all aspects of the grocery business, remembering codes and procedures in different tender options.
