Title: Analysis of Active Magnetic Bearing

Description: Contact stresses and forces are the main factors inhibiting the further increase of efficiency of a system. Bearings are an integral part of all major mechanical systems. Thus, it has become essential to eliminate such induced losses. Also, due to the presence of contact stress, wear is induced, decreasing the life the bearing. Hydrodynamic bearings eliminate the contact losses but are subjected to the viscous losses. Active Magnetic bearing is a contactless bearing technology that aims to eliminate the drawbacks of roller bearings as well as journal bearings.
