I am an excellent fit for the position of Manufacturing Operations Manager. I have more than 15 years of proven management ability in both the commercial and aircraft industries. I have worked for major manufacturers, Northrup Grumman, Black and Decker, Edison, AVCORP and Boeing. I have a solid understanding of lean manufacturing best practices with a cost savings history of over 4.5M. I am a hands-on manager using my degreed industrial engineering learned skills to deliver outstanding weekly and annual KPI results. While at FXI I helped develop with our Serta Simmons customer a bedding packaging solution resulting in an annual cost reduction of 1.2 million.
While working for LUXFER for 6 months we developed a FIFO system reducing our WIP from 850K to 200K. This was achieved by utilizing the exiting MRP system and training the operators and production control in the correct way to input part information to achieve accurate inventories.
I have managed multiple departments; EHS, Quality, Facilities Maintenance, Engineering, CNC, Production and Lean Manufacturing. I have exceptional PC skills across many different MRP/MES software systems SAP, INFOR and Epicor, MS-Excel, Word, Project and Visio. I gain the trust of both direct and indirect staff through leadership by example
I am a self-starter who gets excited about solving complex production problems. I am very comfortable multi-tasking and getting projects and assignments done on time with sustainability. I have high expectations of myself and those who work for me. My moto has always been “If I owned the company what would I do”.
Sincerely,
Quinn Carney
