- Acquiring quotations for different medical equipment from suppliers within and outside of the UAE.

- Preparation of technical specifications of tenders and evaluating technical offers for the purchase of new medical equipment.

General roles of position:

- Managing the medical equipment of the medical equipment library (MEL) by performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance.

- Evaluating faulty medical equipment and performing any required repairs to ensure that all MEL equipment operate as per manufacturer’s recommendations.

- Responding to nurse calls, assessing problems and providing technical and clinical support, as well as promoting best practice in each area of the Hospital.

- Maintaining a safe and efficient supply of electro-medical devices to all clinical areas and keeping accurate records of all loan equipment.

- Taking part in group projects for replacement of old medical equipment.

Completed and was the leader of a graduation project on non-invasive fetal heart rate (FHR) monitoring using photoplethysmography (PPG). The objective was to simulate a portable, optical FHR monitoring device using a PPG signal acquired from the maternal abdomen, in the near infrared (NIR) range with high accuracy.
