Millwright / Welder, JCB Industrial Inc.

October 2015 – March 2020

Millwright work. Preventative maintenance, installations & maintenance of parts and equipment, worked at various conveyors and transport systems at various industries and their systems in Calgary and Edmonton. Fabricated and welded components when needed. Inspected systems when needed.

Welder / Quality Control, Precise Drilling Components

March 2015 – July 2015 Called back as Welding Foreman / layoff due to shortage of work

April 2014 – Oct 2014 layoff due to shortage of work

Inspector & welding trainer. Welding and brazing of drilling components. Implementing shop as a CWB certified shop. Implementing new Quality Control guidelines as shop expands to bigger projects. Assist in ABSA Certification to be implemented as shop also expands. As a Certified CWB Welding Supervisor I personally certified the welding shop in 2015.

Quality Control Supervisor / CWB Welding Supervisor, NOV Hydra Rig

October 2004 – January 2014

As a Quality Control Supervisor my main responsibilities were quality control ensuring parts are done and ensured acceptable. Organize parts and proper paper work. Quality controlled all incoming machined parts, fitting welding, and fabricate components. Watched overall quality for: Millenium, Schlumberger, GreatWall, Baker Hughes, Sanjel, American coil tubing unit jobs. Inspect all components including: reels, piping, trailers, control cabins and all associated parts on them. Implemented all third-party inspections. Collaborated with fitting supervisor and weld supervisor every day and planned projects. Covered ABSA B31.3 and ASME Section 8 & 9, engineering audits, ISO audits

As a CWB Welding Supervisor my main responsibilities were that I ran the CWB welder testing for 56 welders. Took care of all CWB & engineered audits. I also checked and updated weld procedures that were needed and inspected all MTR’s to trace the steel to make sure it was tested properly. Communicated with assembly crew to maintain job parts were ready and available. Project amount averaged 45-60 million US yearly while I was QC supervisor
