Research and Academic Projects

1. University Research study in Computer Forensics

Exploration and hands-on for Automotive Forensics, Cloud Forensics, Drone Forensics, Memory analysis, Mobile Forensics, Network forensics, and Incident Response. 2. Exploiting and defending IoT based Smart Home Router. ( Firewall, DOS, CSRF, and XSS )

As router is the connection point between internet and devices, securing it from external threats is necessary.

We initialized a smart home router and exploited vulnerabilities and attacks such as firewall rules, DOS, CSRF and XSS for understanding how a router can be exploited and secured from these common threats. Resulting we have a strong idea of how threats are exploited and how should a router be secured. 3. Completed SEED Labs like RSA encryption and signature, Public Key Infrastructure, Android Repackaging Attack and Spectre Attack lab.

4. Security Mechanism for Encryption Algorithms.

Sending and receiving an encryption key is not completely secure today

Developed a mechanism for generation and transfer of an encryption key using voice and steganography. Voice has been recorded and plotted as a graph and graph values are xor-ed with random initialization vector resulting in key. As each voice is unique, unique key will be generated. The methodology for generating the key will be hidden in an image or a sound or a text file using steganography.

Making it secure and much more work for attackers 5. Automation through Voice Recognition and Microcontroller.

As we manually require to perform daily task such as locking/unlocking the door, opening curtains and similar manual activities.

Developed an Automation system using Arduino Nano and related hardware components in which, by giving voice commands, we can automate manual tasks such as locking/unlocking the door, opening curtains and similar manual activities. It is a standalone system. It is developed using Arudino IDE and C language.

Thus, eliminating internet dependency, we can perform tasks through voice commands.
