Client: Himachal Pradesh Power Corporation Limited, India Main project features: Shongtong Karchham Hydro Electric Project, a run-of-river scheme, on the river Satluj in Distt. Kinnaur of HP, envisages construction of 102.50 m long diversion barrage, near village Powari, to divert 406 cumecs discharge to four sedimentation chambers, each 300 m long. Slight movement of hill(creep) in valley direction has been observed on the right bank of river. Barrage, right side training walls are designed for this creep pressure to transfer it from right bank to left bank rock . Project is under construction. Name of assignment or project: Top Down Construction in NH-54 at Jatinga,Assam Location: Stretch on National Highway NH-54 near Jatinga Assam Client: Hindustan Construction Company, Mumbai

Main project features: National Highway no. 54 is to cross a small hillock near Jatinga in Assam. The level of the road is to be about 40m below the highest level of the hillock, which slopes down gently on the two sides along the road alignment. Another road, perpendicular to NH-54, passes over the top of this hillock. The NH-54 road stretch which is to cross this hillock is about 300m long.
