Currently, I am a junior accounting major at Illinois State University where I am achieving my goals of maintaining a high GPA while advancing my accounting skill set. During my first two years at Illinois State University, I was a part of the football team until my second major medical injury dictated that I not continue. I have achieved a high GPA (3.88/4.0) while battling the time-management challenges and the sleep deprivation that comes with being a D-1 student athlete. This can only be done successfully through perseverance and having self-discipline, integrity, priorities, and adaptability. I take pride in my work ethic, competitive nature, and drive to succeed. Those attributes have frequently proven to be an asset that have made me one of the top employees wherever I worked. My work experience began the day I turned sixteen and ever since then I have proven myself as a hard- worker in a variety of industries. When I was 18, I balanced two jobs while I stayed committed to my studies and training for college athletics at the same time. I have established proficiency in problem-solving skills, high efficiency communication, and social skills, proving to be beneficial for all the companies I’ve worked for.
