To whom it concerns:
My name is Thomas Roe, and I am writing to apply for the offshore cook position. I currently work as a cook at a disaster relief company. I have a two year hospitality management diploma and I worked at a hotel for 1 year cooking and doing room service calls for half the time and have had several other food service jobs. I would be a great fit for this job, as I have had experience serving with latitude catering where I now work. I am a good communicator as well.
With my attention to detail and strong ability to relate to an audience, I am motivated to help this company grow and strengthen within the community. Last year I worked at the Royal Canadian Lodge where I constantly worked with guests and developed better communication skills. I guarantee my kindred spirit will not only be contagious, but also provide a solid foundation to enhance the morale.
I believe that this position would be a great fit for me. What really stands out is my strong work ethic, competitive spirit and be a coachable team-player. Ultimately, I want to be able to help people, and with my creative and collaborative nature, I am certain I would leave the company better than it was found.
Best,
Thomas Byron Roe
