- Evaluating and treating patients in clinic, independently and alongside supervising physicians
- Ordering and reviewing imaging studies and lab results
- Surgical first assisting- approximately 300 cases per year
- Hospital rounding of post-operative and trauma patients, hospital consults
- Working with primary care providers and anesthesiologists to ensure patients are appropriately healthy for surgery
- Attending and presenting research articles at biweekly journal club
- Attending biweekly case indications conferences to discuss surgical plans for complex spine patients
- Participating in bimonthly morbidity and mortality conferences
- Reviewing referrals to determine which provider patient should see and within what time period
