Working Experience

More than 11 year experience in the field of oil and gas as a production lab chemist, field chemist and corrosion monitoring supervisor.

Worked as a Production chemist for Petroleum Development Oman (PDO)’s Bahja laboratory through Special Oil Field Services (SOS), Oman (Since 2014 Jan till 2020 July)

Jobs performed – To conduct laboratory analysis of crude oil, water and other petroleum products, daily routine analysis of oil, water and gas samples. Analysis includes BSW, Oil in water, Flash point, complete water analysis of samples from STP, RO plant and produced water from well heads, density, salt in crude, water content, TSS, TVP, BOD, COD, sulphur content, Sulferox and amine analysis, detection of H2S and CO2 in gas and liquid phase using stain tubes, Orion meter and GGT method, analysis of solids and minerals, gas chromatography analysis.

Reporting daily activities to the lab supervisor, updating the results using LIMS, preparing chemical inventory list, conducting onsite analysis and sampling of water, oil and gas from station separators and wellheads, sending monthly reports to the coordinator, calibration of laboratory equipments, attending HSE meetings with clients.

To conduct onsite analysis like onsite TSS, TDS and pH analysis, dissolved H2S, CO2 and dissolved O2 in water and oil samples using GGT. Conducting sampling point survey and site visits at various production facilities in PDO assets.

Corrosion monitoring includes online data monitoring(Micro core), online corrosion rating using Applied Corrosion Monitoring instrument( Linear Polarization Resistance & Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscope) and Bacterial testing (Sessile & Planktonic) by collecting samples from COSASCO coupons, PIG debris, BOL traps and well head samples.

Field chemist at PDO, OXY, Daleel Petroleum, and Schlumberger for their various projects across South and North field operations in Oman

Jobs performed – Onsite analysis and sampling of water, condensate, lube oil, crude oil, TEG and gas. Analysis includes detection of H2S, Co2, O2 and CO using stain tubes and Orion meter, RVP, Dew point, Ph, Onsite TSS.

Project team leader for more than 70 projects within all PDO sites, 25 projects in OXY (Safah and Mukhaizna) and 15 projects in Daleel Petroleum, Conducted H2S survey at almost all sites of PDO, OXY and Daleel petroleum.

Worked with Schlumberger’s Rig and Frac team for conducting onsite analysis of gas and fluids conducted high H2S sampling from well heads using BA, Worked with various well test units like FOS and Al Mansoori for onsite analysis and sampling of gas and fluids.
