• Plotting the Platte: Measuring Vernal Change Over Multiple Seasons using Landsat Imagery

With the role of Programming Lead, assisted in the evaluation of phenological trends in the South Platte River (SPR) Basin in Northeastern Colorado utilizing USGS Landsat imagery data and open-source software applications.

Utilized JupyterHub to develop reproducible science workflows pertaining to the calculation of Normalized Difference Vegetation Indices (NDVI) within riparian zones along sections of the SPR corridor.

Effectively used open-source Python to create scripts that would yield relevant outputs such as data frames, maps and plots.

• Denver County Sustainability Goals Analysis: An Evaluation of Air Pollution, Housing and Walkability/Mobility

Designed a sustainability analysis of Denver County and produced a technical report related to air pollution, affordable housing and overall mobility options utilizing ArcGIS.

Examined prevalence and potential disproportionate effects of air pollution using current data related to road networks, land use and demographics.

Evaluated affordability and potential housing development using the Center for Neighborhood Technology’s (CNT’s) Housing and Transportation (H&T) Index as well as census tracts, zoning, land use and public transportation infrastructure data.

Determined the overall walkability and mobility options of Denver County related to proximity of restaurants, schools and libraries, parks and recreational facilities as well as existing bicycle and public transportation infrastructure.

• Delineating a Watershed: The Hydrology Toolset in ArcMap

Developed an instructional analysis in which a watershed of Jefferson County, Colorado was created.

Determined the general characteristics of water flow in the area of interest related to flow direction, accumulation, outlets and seasonal presence.
