Job Function:

•Conduct day-to-day medical assessments and check-ups.

•Maintain track records of check-up reports, medical prescriptions and discharge times of all patients.

•Monitors patients progress and alerts attending physicians when sudden changes occurs that calls for emergency intervetion.

•Administer prescribed medication, monitoring vital signs and also apply dressing to operate sites.

•Assist the physician during medical treatments, procedures, examinations, assessments and check.

•Maintain feeding tubes and monitor heart rate, blood pressure and other vital signs.

•Assist the ICU register in managing patients with cardiac arrest.

•Monitor the neurological symptoms of the patients on the systems before the treating doctor comes on rounds

•Responsible for maintaining care standards in the emergency room

•Assist with checking in patients, doing triage work for doctors.

•Assist ambulatory, wheelchair borne, stretcher borne patient entry at the triage area.

•Assist the emergency department consultant in initial assessment by getting the patients vitals.

•Interviews the patient or companion to determine the patient’s complaint and condition.

•Gathers patient’s data and records it to the emergency department outpatient record.

•Place an identification band to the patient’s wrist. Carry out doctor’s order.

•Establishes a compassionate environment by providing emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients, friends, and families.

•Managing the care of patients experiencing life-threatening problems requiring complex assessment, high intensity therapies and interventions.
