Operational hub Migration projects: Played vital role in migration of two operational locations namely Seoul and Tokyo loan operation from Hong Kong loan hub to Bangalore loan hub. Stabilized the process within short span with great ease.
Automation: Highlighted various process improvement ideas to management thereby ensuring the process is completely automated with least manual intervention. Example LIQ Notice Automation, Automated email to treasury.
UAE VAT Project Recon: When VAT was introduced in UAE bank system didn’t have the capability to handle new requirement, interim VAT was collected manually as bank was going through integration phase of two core system. I was involved in setting up the VAT requirement in one of the core system later stage sole handedly reconciled the manual VAT collected and submitted to Central VAT team for CIB loan operation from Jan 2018 till Dec 2018.
Integration of two bank’s Core System: I was actively involved with IT and project team integration phase of both banks core system from operational prospective and UAT’s. Standalone Lease flex system integration with t24.
GL/ Balance sheet cleanup project - As part of integration of two systems there was requirement from management to reconcile and clear the 20B portfolio lying in legacy banks system which required the data extraction and analysis of Balance sheet of loans department’s data from 2011 till 2018. Where I was exposed to analysis of receivable, payables, fee accrual, VAT competent of balance sheet. This activity was completed before the time line setup by management in coordination with various department namely credit /finance/restructuring /Central TAX team etc.
GLCMS Limit monitoring system stabilization -Played vital role in stabilizing the limit monitor system of Risk management Department, which includes the analyzing the business requirement; Data clean up in Credit workflow and limit monitor system; accurate data flow from core system/Source system to limit monitor system etc.
Manual migration of Loans: Due to system limitation and project team requirement there was ask from management to migrate around 150 loan contract from LIQ to another system i.e. T24 manually along with BAU activity which was completed within agreed time lines. In this project we had a lot of challenges namely FTP impact on closing on the loan, treasury rebooking,impact of interest rate difference applied two different core system was handled in coordination with different department i.e Treasury, finance, Operational Risk,ITD etc.
UAT: Co-ordinated and successfully tested UAT- User acceptance test for most of the project of department like Past due module in T24,Macro implementation for correct input of loan installment, loan BDR- LIQ-SSI project ( flow of info from Customer database to LIQ ), Eca Premium enhancement, Approval Matrix, implementation of etc
Job roles/duties/responsibilities carried out:
Responsible for preparation of business and management reporting like sanction expiry, sanction due for expiry, early Alert report, board ofdDirectors report, top 100 client report
Assisting Finance Department of Bank in the preparation of UAE regulatory reporting like past due, Watch, and NPL.
Responsible for preparation of MIS report i.e. KPI, Risk Dash board
Coordinating with internal stakeholders for Internal Audit, Compliance, risk department to ensure adherence to the guidelines of Banking Standards
Conducting Internal Audit of department and assist/Provide the required info to External auditors on Ad hoc basis
Report all the outstanding loans and guarantee (Special Cases) to the Front Office/Middle Office for consulting on Risk, Exposure and Regulatory requirement for the bank.
Sanction issuance - Issue the facility advise letter to business ensuring facility approved comply with bank policies i.e Credit Approval process administration
Monitoring the Credit delegated authority within sub unit it includes the Commercial as well as ADNIF.
To assist Senior Credit Analyst / SRM / RM/ ARM in implementing and maintaining complete control aspects of client i.e. financial analysis of statement, documentation, periodical client visits/ call reports, stock inspections and formal credit checks/ informal market feedback to monitor the assigned portfolio effectively and handle special assignment as may be required
Review and Analyze the renewals of credit facilities for existing corporate clients and thereby assisting the RM .The process involves restructuring the credit facilities in the light of their utilization and current financial strength to bring it in line with bank’s Credit policy to maximize earnings while containing risks to an acceptable level
Review the new client’s credit worthiness based on qualitative and quantitative analysis of individual ability as well as based on parent /group structure.
Counterparty/UID creation in counter arty database i.e. GLCMS system
Assist different business units in routing, following up credit proposals through workflow system in order formalizing the approval through system.
Analyze the payment stuck due to any compliance issue set up in system and accordingly coordinate with compliance department
C) Data Analyst
Operational reconciliation between credit workflow and/Moody’s rating system to limit monitoring system i.e. rating; collateral value; exchange rate limits information etc.

First level analysis/ coordination with ITD and risk solution for system related requirement of Policy Compliance department
Involved in UAT /functional Testing in case new feature addition to Credit workflow system, SAS.

D) Loan, Guarantee processing of different business line.
Responsible for managing the customer’s account as per the Credit Agreement.
Monitor instructions regarding loan activity (drawdowns, payments, rollovers) and interest/fees transactions, ECA premium from customer/lender/Agent and take appropriate action.
Responsible for issuing Guarantee, collecting Guarantee fee, issuance fee, Swift charges on issuance as per risk approvals and MO Instruction.
Monitoring and ensuring that all credit approvals are in compliance with bank's internal policies and regulatory guidelines
Involved in reviewing Loan Agreement before being executed for Operational feasibility and communicating the observation to FO/MO accordingly.
Involved in Pre Closing call with FO/MO to understand the Deal structure and also discuss on the operational clauses.
Managing a set of assigned Business line / portfolio like Export credit, Airlines, trade finance etc.
Liaising with the Borrower and Lender group on Agented deals to ensure right level of information is passed between the Borrower and Lender group.
Also, responsible for handling Data Quality Analysis for complete portfolio whereby need to fix any anomalies from BO preview and also instruct various other teams to fix anomalies handled at their level (eg. Collateral updation)

G) Nostro Projection,Cash management /Payment
Responsible for Nostro projections by forecasting incoming and outgoing funds for Loans department.
Ensuring the projection in correct correspondent bank or customer account, so as to keep the control that account is not over-drawn
Ensure Cancellation of Nostro projection in case of Non receipt of Fund from Customer before the Cut off time and co-ordinate with MO, FO for follow up of funds
H) Treasury Management
Take proactive steps and ensure the funding to the client at reasonable rates in prior consultation with the internal Treasury.
Co-ordinate with Front officer, Middle officer and Treasury on any discrepancy regarding Funding rate, Margin, Local liquidity cost, Cost on early repayment of loans
Ensuring the internal funding updated in treasury system before cut off time.
I) Role of Accountant
Ensure that Customer Account, principal loan account,interest account, theoretical cash account, Fee accrual account updated in timely manner
Take corrective steps and action to ensure the income /fee/interest /issuance fee / facing fee on guarantee is been processed as per FO and MO instruction (Amortized or Flat income depending up on the nature of the fee).
Timely Closing of all BO Loans related account as per book closing dates provided by Regional ACFI and Local ACFI
Substantiating the account with all proof in case of balance of exceptional case
