NIGERIA:

In Warri, Nigeria, Dominic led SPDC’s West Division quality team in all upstream quality-related activity. reduced drilling operations Non-Productive Time from 35% in 2004 to less than 10% by 2006. He established standards for assembly, inspection, service and testing for down-hole and drilling and production tools used by SPC and re-wrote SPDC\Vendor contracts to set the new standards.

QATAR:

Dominic’s QA/QC Well Engineering team designed, implemented and operated a Quality Management System that won Shell’s 2006 EPM-T “Technical Limit and Technology Award” for the Qatar Drilling Team on the NFP-1 well. On the Shell Gas-To-Liquids “Pearl” project in Qatar, Dominic established programs for a gross Non-Productive Time rate of less than 3% for all downhole drilling, production, and well test equipment failures. In 2008, he led his Qatar QA/QC team to Shell’s “Most Competitive Team” award. Using SIMOPS (simultaneous drilling and completions operations), they saved around 300 days.
