PERSONAL STATEMENT

A holder of a social science master’s degree in development and human rights from Swansea University, with strong theoretical and methodological training for public opinion research and practice. With over 10 years of experience in technical support, designing, managing, delivering, reporting, monitoring and evaluating human rights, civic engagement, public health, accountability, advocacy, research, humanitarian and development or similar interventions targeting people with disabilities in emergency, reconstruction and similar contexts.

Inclusion and diversity specialist, Inclusive Humanity Institute, Bulawayo, Zimbabwe

I provide technical support to enhance disability inclusive programming, and policy development, related to putting disability back at the centre of humanitarian action.

Train 30 stakeholders quarterly using inclusion tools, such as the IASC guidelines on inclusion of persons with disabilities or the Washington Group of Questions

Collate, synthesise and disseminate guidance, research and programme learning on a monthly basis.

Develop strategies on how to engage the humanitarian architecture, as well as relevant entry points for influence.
