●Conducted outbreak surveillance of the nationwide Dengue epidemic to create and develop GIS geostatistical mapping for the public health officials. (Contracted Dengue during surveillance).
●Employed ACRGIS map modeling and STATA statistical analysis softwares to develop mapping solutions for the national leptosporosis epidemic.
●Produced GIS mapping analysis products depicting 15 years of Bacterial Meningitis prevalance in Cuba, from 1995 to 2010. Conducted post surveillance investigation on the prevalence of infectious diseases in different municipalities, to update GIS mapping reports. Provided report finding to Ministry of Health, and advocated with local medical officials for clinical diagnostics and pharmaceutical intervention.
●Coauthored groundbreaking Dengue publications on the effects of temperature variance and other forms of transmission, using surveillance and geostatistical mapping techniques in the La Lisa municipalities of Havana.
●Provided training and consultation at international scientific events to public health colleagues in Mexico and Peru, to provide GIS map modeling tools and techniques.
