I manage the Facilities Maintenance of three buildings in the Lehigh Valley for one of the leading health care providers in the world. These facilities include corporate offices, clinical supplies packaging and warehousing, refrigerated cold storage (5C to -80C) and distribution. I recently played a key role in the transition of a temporary boiler/chiller/heating hot water system from the parking lot back inside. This was necessary due to the total reconstruction of the central plant. The project was completed without any Quality Deviations and while maintaining complete production capabilities and meeting all production schedules. I am responsible for the the operation, reliability and maintenance of steam, chilled water, compressed air, heating hot water, HVAC-R, and ultra low temperature storage systems in a 24/7/365 operation. • Daily Operations: I managed multiple technical groups including Maintenance Engineering, Process Equipment Maintenance, I&C, Metrology, Automation, Utilities, Electrical, and HVAC-R. I was responsible for SOP's, work flow, training, problem resolution, compliance, schedule adherence, equipment reliability and operational excellence and improvements.

• QA Compliance: Resolving any atypical events associated with maintenance. Also directly supported all agency and internal compliance audits and resolved any deficiencies noted.

• Strategic Operations: Annual/Project budgeting, coaching and training, implementing SAP PM/QM, expansion planning, shutdown planning, and project planning and execution.

• Facility responsibilities included operation, maintenance and quality compliance of plant and process utilities systems. Plant utilities include steam systems, tower and chilled water, instrument air, compressed air and numerous gases, HVAC-R, BSC's, waste neutralization systems, and alarm systems. Process utilities include RO/CDI PW, WFI storage/distribution, CS generation, and distribution, clean compressed air and gas systems. Also, environmental chambers, refrigerated, ultra-low temp and cryo storage, building finishes and envelope.

• Process Equipment responsibilities included equipment preparation/assembly (washers and autoclaves), media and buffer prep and storage, cell-culture seed reactors and production bioreactors, product capture filters and chromatography skids, UF, MF/DF, lab and production analytical equipment and final filling systems.

• Management duties included, managing a $23.0M/Yr. Maintenance budget in a $4.0B/Yr. annual operation. I held various positions over a 20 year career starting as an HVAC-R mechanic advancing to Supervisor, Plant Engineer, and Maintenance Manager. I was responsible for maintenance operations in aseptic anti-infective, cytotoxic containment, sterile fill/finish, commercial fine chemical, API formulation processes, and biotechnology clinical and bulk manufacturing facilities at both R&D Pilot and commercial scales in a 24/7/365 operation.

• I participated in budget development and long-range strategic planning.

• I was responsible for the planning and execution of HEPA/BSC certifications, and periodic plant shutdown programs to meet production window constraints.
