JOB DESCRIPTION:

Medical Coding is the process of conversion of text information related to healthcare services into numeric Diagnosis (Medical Problems) and Procedure (Treatments) Codes using ICD-10- CM and CPT codes.

●Coding from medical records to identify revenue opportunities and to ensure compliance.

●To interpret medical records and assign principal and secondary diagnoses procedures.

●Reading, analyzing and interpreting large documents, medical charts/reports on the computer.

●End to end procuring of the coding function and recoding the rejected claims as and when required.

●Responsible for research of all relevant standards and regulations.

●Responsible for extrapolating information from claims and medical records to ensure that billing is accurate.

SKILLS: Having knowledge on anatomy, physiology and pathology and medical terminology.
