Apart from this, follow up of Material required at site, priorities of material required at site to be finalized, Daily progress meeting, weekly meeting with NTPC / HO officers, Plan of progress to be made and to submit to NTPC / HO for their review etc were most important tasks.

Rosa Power Plant. Feb 2009- jan 2011.

I joined Reliance Infrastructure Limited in Rosa Project at shahjahanpur. It was having boilers of 300 MW * 2 sets. Boilers were of high pressure 175 bar / 565 deg steam parameters.

Here I was Team leader in TG Commissioning Team. Turbines / Boilers / Condensers were commissioned by my team. Turbines were of 300 MW sets Chinese make.

SASAN Power Plant. - jan 20011 - aug 2015.

In SASAN POWER PLANT ( Six units of 660 MW ) :: All 04 Turbines were installed by my Team and myself. I Was responsible for complete Turbine hall erection ( including all piping, all Auxiliaries, all Pumps installation, HP / LP Condensers erection, clearance for Turbine Neck Clearance and Turbine Generator Installation, erection and commissioning of lube oil piping, Steam Piping, Feed Water Piping, HP / LP Governing oil piping were my main responsibilities. Four out of Six units Turbine erection was completed by my Team and all Six Turbines are running without any Trouble with full capacity generation.

CEP, BFP, ACW, DMC System, HP / LP Bypass Governing oil System, HP / LP Bypass steam lines, Feed water piping, Main Steam, HRH, CRH Steam piping, Installation of HP Heaters, Deareator etc ere installed / commissioned by our team, Jacking Oil pump installation and commissioning was our responsibilities.

Main Job was to install HP/ IP Turbine, LP Turbine1 & LP Turbine 2, Generator, Exciter and Make set complete for Synchronization. Alignment & Box up of Turbine body, Coupling of HP & LP Turbine 1, LP Turbine 1 & 2 Coupling, LP Turbine 2 With Generator, Generator Box Up and final coupling of Generator with Exciter were main responsibilities.

LancoInfratech Limited, Rosa. ( April 2008 Till Feb 2009 )

I joined lanco in april 2008 and for next ten months I was with company. In LANCO Power Plant I was team leader of Installation of Turbine Erection Team.

I worked as TG Erection team leader and subsequent commissioning of 300 MW TG sets. It was very short period but in this period first unit Turbine was installed and commissioned by us till COD of unit.

Turbine was of Dongfeng Electric Corporation, china make, 300 MW Set operating pressure 165 bar / 545 deg centigrade.

Boiler 1000 ton capacity, PF Boiler Corner Fired, 175 bar / 565 deg centigrade steam parameters.

Abhishek Industries Limited. Dec 2006 Apr 2008.

I joined here as GM Operation and having responsibilities of new up coming project in same factory complex. Existing plant was of 12 MW and as aadditional responsibility I was incharge of project also.

Boilers was combined fuel fired high pressure boilers of 135 tons capacity & 505 deg centigrade steam temp. Boilers were supplied by Enmass Boilers Limted Chennai. Turbines were of seimens Ltd and they were Extraction cum condensing Turbines for process use. They were 20 MW * 2 sets and old set of 12 MW in same compled.

They were actually process boilers but only extraction steam is being supplied to process and not fresh steam is being sent to process.

Here I was responsible as unit head for every thing from Management. My reporting was to CMD of Factory.

BALCO Feb 2002 – Dec 2006.

I joined BALCO in Jan 2002 as Deputy manager operation. Intially I was Shift Charge Engineer of 270 MW Power plant and looking after Power plant operation and maintenance for next three years. We were running power plant at 96 % PLF and that time I was heading Power Plant operation / maintenance team.

Boilers were High pressure of 270 tons capacity ( 04 boilers ), front fired PF G E Make Boilers, Turbines were of Seimens Ltd each 67.5 Mw condensing Turbines. Total 04 Turbines ( Total capacity 270 MW ). Here my daily activities are as below.

Scheduling & Planning for Boiler & TG related maintenance activities including B.O.Plants.

Leading a team of Engineers, skilled & unskilled workers for plant operational activities of boilers.

Coordinating with all departments for day-to-day problem and job planning accordingly.

Planning and coordinating for planned maintenance and related activities of boiler and Turbines, Materials follow up with Central Procurement group for efficient supplies to plant.

Keeping a control over inventory material status and necessary procurement in advance of raw material in store by responsible staff at stores,

Power Generation by Plant with Maximum PLF as per set targets by Management,

allocation of resources and responsibilites to sub ordinates as per experience,

Follow up of every Target with Planning Team, Preparation of daily, weekly and monthly Production Targets with Planning department at plant and their analysis at month end.

Analyzing the reasons of losses / shortfalls in generation at every week end and their remedies.

Maintenance Planning to meet production target without affecting generation.

Profit / loss calculation as a Business unit and submission of reports to higher Management for further guidance.

Later on I was transferred in organizational restructuring to Coal based Steam Plant. This was the backbone of Alumina Complex in BALCO. I remained as Team Leader for next two and half year and around 75 people were reporting to me in this assignment. Here boilers were of BHEL Make 75 TPH Capacity each. 03 boilers were there. Pressure rating was 72 bar / 415 deg centigrade. Boilers were PF Front fired boilers. AHP, CHP,DM PLANT, BOILERS, CHIILING UNITS electrical, C & I department I was controlling as unit Head.

GRASIM. May 1995- Feb 2002.

I Started career with power plant of Grasim industries and worked for six and half years. I was in power plant operation then promoted to senior engineer position in same organisation. At the time of leaving I was incharge of production department and was responsible for uninterrupted power generation from units.

Trouble shooting in units, smooth Power generation by units, All regular / breakdown maintenance Jobs, Annual overhauling of Boilers, M.I.S Reports, Raw material depletion records and follow up with procurement department for supply of coal, furnace oils, chemicals required etc.

Total capacity of installed power plants in same complex was 110 MW ( 40 MW et, 25 MW set, 16.5 mw * 2 sets, 12.5 MW * 2 sets were installed in one complex ). At the time of leaving I was at Middle Management Post.
