“HEAT TRANSFER AUGMENTATION AND ANALYSIS OF AIR COOLED IC ENGINE FINS.” Heat transfer rate can be improved through fins, so a model is selected to perform thermal analysis and identify possible performance optimization by changing the fin geometry. To perform the study, virtual simulation by CFD approach is proposed.

Three different profiles for fin are selected i.e.,

straight, step and sine, and CFD simulations are performed for all of them at different wind velocities to find heat transfer rate for each fin configuration. Sine was found to be the best one. Gate 2014 Qualified
